2016 Book Prize Winner a Finalist in WILLA Literary Awards

Earlier this month Women Writing the West (WWW) announced the 2018 WILLA Literary Award Winners and Finalists. The 2016 River Teeth book prize winner, Rough Crossing: An Alaskan Fisherwoman’s Memoir by Rosemary McGuire, was one of two finalists in the category of Creative Nonfiction.

River Teeth 2014 Book Contest Winner Receives 2017 PEN Literary Award

In 2014, Angela Morales and her essay collection The Girls in My Town was selected by bestselling author and final judge Cheryl Strayed for the River Teeth Nonfiction Book Award. The collection published by University New Mexico Press in 2016, has now received the 2017 PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for Art of the Essay as well. This prestigious award was presented at a live awards ceremony on March 27, 2017.

Scholarship Deadline Extended to March 15
March 3, 2015River Teeth is offering four scholarships to students currently enrolled in writing programs (graduate or undergraduate). Recipients of the scholarships will attend the May 29-31 River Teeth nonfiction conference, free of registration fees.
