Judith Kitchen

Judith Kitchen is the author of three collections of essays (most recently Half in Shade, Coffee House Press), a novel, a collection of poetry, and a critical study. In addition, she edited or co-edited three collections of short nonfiction pieces for W. W. Norton (with another collection forthcoming entitled Brief Encounters), an anthology of poetry, and a collection of literary interviews. What Persists, a selection of thirty years of her Georgia Review poetry reviews, will be released soon from University of Georgia Press. Her awards include a National Endowment of the Arts fellowship, two Pushcart Prizes, the Lillian Fairchild Award, and the S. Mariella Gable Award. She served as judge for the Association of Writers and Writing Programs Nonfiction Award, the Pushcart Prize in poetry, the Oregon Book Awards, and the Bush Foundation Fellowships, among others. She lived in Port Townsend, WA, until her death in November 2014.

Sydney Lea

Sydney Lea, a former Pulitzer finalist, founded and for thirteen years edited New England Review. His thirteenth collection of poems, Here, is due from Four Way Books in 2019.

Chris Offutt

Chris Offutt grew up in Haldeman, Kentucky, a former mining town of 200 people in the Daniel Boone National Forest. He is the author of Kentucky Straight, Out of the Woods, The Same River Twice, No Heroes, and The Good Brother. Chris has published over 70 stories and essays, including appearances in the New York Times, Esquire, GQ, and National Public Radio. He has received awards from the Mississippi Arts Council, the Guggenheim Foundation, the Whiting Foundation, the Lannan Foundation, the NEA, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Granta Magazine included him in their list of the “Top 20 Young American Writers.” He wrote screenplays for HBO’s “True Blood” and “Treme”, Showtime’s “Weeds,” and TV pilots for Fox, Lions Gate and CBS. His TV work was nominated for an Emmy. He lives in rural Lafayette County and teaches at the University of Mississippi.

Robert Vivian
