Best American Essays Notables 2014

The Notable Essays list from The Best American Essays 2014 edited by John Jeremiah Sullivan is out, and in addition to the reprint of Chris Offutt's fine essay, "Someone Else," River Teeth is thrilled to be represented again in the notables.
Congratulations to Bettye Kearse and our own Dan Lehman for their Notable Essay recognition in the 2014 Best American Essays!
Kearse's essay, "Destination Jim Crow," and Dan's essay, "Proper Names Are Poetry in the Raw," both appeared in the Fall 2013 issue.
Our Senior Editor, Steven Harvey, our Managing Editor, Sarah Wells, and our Beautiful Things column Co-Editor, Michelle Webster-Hein also received Notable Essay recognition this year.
Congratulations to all! We're proud of the excellent work that is entrusted to River Teeth and grateful when it gets the recognition it deserves.
