Bio: Dawn S. Davies is the assistant fiction editor of Gulf Stream Magazine, and the graduate coordinator for Writers on the Bay Reading Series. She won first place in the 2013 FIU Student Literary Awards for nonfiction, the 2013 Kentucky Women Writers' Conference Gabehart Prize for nonfiction, is a semi-finalist for the 2014 Tucson Festival of Books for fiction, though she submitted a nonfiction essay. Go figure. Her work has appeared in Real South Magazine, The Florida Book Review, Ten Cent Journal, with essays forthcoming in River Styx and Brain,Child. She lives in Fort Lauderdale.
