Joe Mackall

Joe MackallJoe Mackall is the author of Plain Secrets: An Outsider Among the Amish, and of the memoir, The Last Street Before Cleveland. He is co-founder and -editor of River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative. His work has appeared in many publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, as well as on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition.” He’s director of Creative Writing at Ashland University. “Reflections of a Moderately Disturbed Grandfather” is from a memoir in progress, tentatively titled, Grandparents in Paradise: Life in the Face of the Fall.
